An interesting turn of events as Facebook’s founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg announces that Facebook will be giving back to its creators by offering a reward for using Facebook’s services to design and create content for the platform. This move will involve a pay out of over$1billion dollars over the course of the next year and half to select content creators chosen by the company itself. Facebook will be offering the new bonus incentives to creators using the in-stream ad functions that Facebook provides during livestreaming. Creators will receive more bonuses and rewards for hitting their livestream milestones too. Other rewards can also be given to those creators that enable ads on IGTV. Among the upcoming bonus programs is a Reels Summer Bonus that will launch in the coming weeks and pay U.S. users who create great Reels content for Instagram. Reels is a full-screen, short-length video feature that was launched by Instagram in2020 to compete with the social platform known as Tik-Tok. According to Facebook, these cash bonuses will be paid out via Facebook and Instagram by the end of 2022.
