Muhammad Umar Karim as New Director

Accensis recently had pleasure in announcing the appointment of Mr Muhammad Umar Karim as director from 1 September 2021. Umaris a driven, motivated, and passionate individual, a people’s person with a great sense of humor. He now has over 8.5 years of experience as a professional. This experience spans across auditing, financial accounting, financial management, valuations, consulting, and taxation services.

He served his 3 year’s training contract and qualified as a Chartered Accountant, CA (SA), from Deloitte & Touché in2015 where he was afforded invaluable exposure to the financial operations of various companies and the industries, they operate in. He thereafter went on a secondment to Deloitte Luxembourg where he gained experience and exposure in the international market.

In September 2016, Umar joined Accensis as an Audit Manager and in September 2019 was appointed as the first ever Senior Manager of the firm. He has worked closely with both directors of the firm, Mr Suresh Naidoo, and Mr Vanesan Govender. He has learned and gained an invaluable wealth of experience and knowledge from both the partners during his tenure as manager and senior manager.

Throughout his tenure as manager and senior manager of Accensis, he gained valuable experience in various industries a cross a diverse portfolio of clients. Some of these industries are the “manufacturing industry, retail industry, information technology industry, property investment industry, PBO’s and public sector”. He has developed and grown into a well-rounded professional.
